加纳提(Janat.sagat)被抓。

The government of Xinjiang arrested Kazakh husbands and arranged men of Han ethnicity to live with the wives
(Xinjiang-2018-5-15)

In order to better control the local Kazakh and Uygur people, the local governments of Xinjiang assigned men of Han ethnicity to live with the local minority families. According to a Kazakh woman from Altay, Xinjiang, the government arrested her nephew, a Muslim, sent him to the reformation camp and assigned a Han man to live with her nephew’s wife. According to another local Kazakh, the local officials forced his wife, who lived in Ili, Xinjiang, to abort when she was pregnant for three months.

According to Aqax Baqdax, who immigrated to Kazakhstan, the government of Xinjiang treated her nephew brutally and sent him to the reformation center. “I filed a complaint at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. My wife’s son Janat Sagat was arrested by the Chinese government. He is 25-year-old now, living in the 2nd farm of Kezi Village, Altay, Xinjiang. My nephew, who is the father of two children, was detained in the reformation center. The police never explained why they arrested him, nor did they explain why they refuse to let him go.”

According to Aqax Baqdax, her nephew had attended a Koran class, which had all legal documents required by the government, and no one expected that he would be arrested. Now, Sagat’s wife raised their two children alone. The government assigned a man of Han ethnicity to live with them. “Sagat’s wife and the two children stay at home. The government assigns a Han man to live with every Uyghur and Kazakh household, forcing the local families to accommodate him and satiate all his desires, sending every dissident to the reformation camp. That’s how the government improves the relationship between the minorities and the Han people.”

She also revealed that the government used a variety of methods to insert Han people in local Uyghur and Kazakh households.

The China Aid Association reported on April 10th that the Office of Habahe County Committee, Altay, Xinjiang issued a government document requiring the local governments to assign civil servants to live with the local Kazakh families in order to carry out the policy of “Two Full Coverage.” Since April, the government split the civil servants into two groups and required them to take turns to live with the Kazakh families and alternate every fifteen days.

An anonymous Kazakh from Altay told the reporter that the government used the excuse of “forming families” to assign Han people to live with the Kazakh families, attempting to corroding their religious beliefs. The so-called host families were now allowed to object, or they would be punished or sent to the reformation camp. He said: “It’s common now. They used all kinds of methods to prevent you from having religious beliefs.”

According to Aqax Baqdax, the government did not give the local Kazakh families any chance to refuse the government assignment. “The families have to carry out the government orders under all conditions, otherwise they’ll be punished harshly. They didn’t dare to tell the truth when we called them from here (Kazakhstan). The people who were released from the reformation center all became numb and pathetic. They also suffer from memory loss. What did the government feed them? We can’t endure this any longer. I hope the prisoners can return to Kazakhstan as soon as possible. I ask the relevant government organs in Kazakhstan to rescue the innocent citizens. We protest against the Fascist behaviors of the Chinese Communist government. We hope that the international human rights organizations can help us.”

Angcagan Apman, a Ili Kazakh who obtained Kazakhstan nationality, talked about his wife Maudun Gulziya. His wife was born in 1982 in China. They registered their marriage at the Civil Affairs Bureau of Ili Prefecture. He said: “It is an international marriage. My wife travelled to her relatives in Kekuahaxi Village, Fuhai County, Altay, Xinjiang on October 30th, 2017. The police took away her passport on November 25th and put her under house arrest. My wife had been pregnant for three months at the time.”

Angcagan Apman revealed that the police broke into his house on the New Year’s Day and forced his wife to abort. “On New Year’s Day of 2018, the police forced her to abort. I protested, but to no avail. They aborted my child. I hope that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan can help us innocent citizens. I ask the international human rights organizations to help us. I ask for a compensation of a million dollars from the Chinese government. I want my wife and my two children to reunite with me in Kazakhstan.”

The China Aid Association reported that on January 5th, a pregnant Kazakh woman called Kulizia Morgudon from Fuhai County, Altay was forcibly aborted. She was put under house arrest afterwards. Her husband solicited help online. On May 8th, Kelizia Morgudon obtained the permission to leave China and reunite with her husband in Kazakhstan.
