尊敬的大使，

作为旨在非洲大陆全面宣教的基督教机构：非洲联盟，我们的董事会来自许多国家的成员，在此写信给你，表达深切的不安甚至失望，因为洛桑会议中国代表被中国政府禁止出境前来参加会议 。

我们在这里向你保证，这是一次属灵的会议，而不是一次政治会议。

The Chinese Ambassador to South Africa.

Your Excellency,

As the International Partnership Board of African Enterprise, a Christian ministry spanning the length and breadth of the African continent, we are writing to you to express deep concern and even dismay, that apparently the Chinese delegation to the Lausanne Congress in Cape Town (October 17-24) have been refused travel documents by the Chinese authorities.

In this regard we want to assure you that this is a spiritual and non-political gathering.

Insofar as this global Congress, hosted on African soil, will be much diminished by the non-presence of the Chinese delegation, and insofar as this will also damage the positive image of your country here in Africa, we do appeal and plead with your government to reverse this decision and allow your delegation to attend. Multiplied millions of Christians across Africa will be most relieved and thankful if your government would respond positively to this request.
